RONNIE O’SULLIVAN was booted out of the World Snooker Championship by Stuart Bingham – but then revealed he considered not competing in the tournament.<br/><br/>And the Rocket reckons some referees “have got it in for me” as his quest for Crucible No.8 rolls over until next year.<br/><br/>Bingham, the 2015 world champion, progressed to the semi-finals following a stunning 13-10 victory and celebrated with a glass of red wine.<br/><br/>Yet seven-time world champion O’Sullivan, 48, said he only attended after being persuaded to do so by a new sponsor.<br/><br/>O’Sullivan, who PUNCHED the table in anger after one poor shot, said: “I wasn’t going to play the Tour Championship in Manchester or this because of how I was feeling about playing.<br/><br/>“They sort of twisted my arm. It’s first come, first served. I have signed up for 8-9 events next year.<br/><br/>“There are only so many days I allow myself to be away from home. You cannot do it all.<br/><br/>“I would have done (punditry) days with Eurosport here. They’ve been pretty good with me. But I just wanted to make a point.<br/><br/>“I’m not that hungry to win in that way. I’m more of a principled person, so once the principle’s been made I can sleep at night.”<br/><br/>The World Snooker Tour refutes those allegations and insists the referee acted correctly and appropriately.<br/><br/>Bingham, who hit a 104 in the penultimate frame, cried backstage as he edged closer to a second world title – and now faces qualifier Jak Jones over four sessions across three days.

Even though I no longer believed in the religion of my family, and he remained a key figure in that religion until his death, I still respected Billy Paul. I knew him since I was a small child, and there were multiple times that he helped me through some very difficult trials. Today, I have to re-live many of those same emotions. <br/><br/>I was deeply saddened when I learned that Billy Paul had developed cancer. Like many of my friends and family in William Branham’s cult of personality, I wanted to him to get better. He was my friend, but I wouldn’t wish cancer on my worst enemy. <br/><br/>When I got news that he was healed of cancer, I smiled. God still has the power to heal, no matter who you are or what you have done. I heard it through multiple people. Ministers in the “Message” mentioned it in their sermons, old friends of the family mentioned it in their testimonies, and more. I truly thought Billy Paul had been healed. I know many of those people of influence in the “Message” personally. They are really, really good people. They had no reason to be dishonest. <br/><br/>Today, I received my copy of Billy Paul’s death certificate, and my heart is broken. Billy Paul died from the same pancreatic cancer that these men — men that I once looked up to and respected — claimed had been healed by God. Worse, he suffered from other problems they never mentioned. Coronary artery disease. Diabetes. Intractable abdominal pain. In fact, those four combined were his cause of death.<br/><br/>As I mentioned some time ago, when Billy Paul died, I could not help but think about the many times Billy Paul pointed people to William Branham’s prophecy about Los Angeles sinking before he was an old man. That was my memory. It was part of my life. I mentioned this publicly, and our website and blog received an instant backlash from ministers and members of the cult.
