Four selfless members of the public have been commended by South Yorkshire Police for their bravery and compassion after desperately trying to save the life of a young dad who had been stabbed in Yorkshire.<br/>Daniel Micska, 28, was stabbed to death by cowardly Daniel Balazs who plunged a 12cm knife into his chest before fleeing the scene on August 9, 2023, in Barnsley.<br/>As Daniel lay bleeding in the middle of Newton Street and begged for someone to call an ambulance, a band of residents rushed out to help the dad-of-two.<br/><br/>Jonathan Maw, Elaine Priestley, Gillian Austin and Michelle Dyson all came to assist Daniel as they tried to stop the bleeding and comfort him before paramedics arrived at the scene to provide first aid.<br/><br/>Daniel was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries that same evening.<br/><br/>However, police said the actions of Jonathan, Elaine, Gillian and Michelle did not go unnoticed and now they have all been recognised and presented with commendations for the actions they took in the fight to try and save Daniel's life.

![Noni Madueke had to be dragged away from referee Craig Pawson after Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday evening. <br/><br/>Madueke and his teammates thought they had secured a 96th-minute winner when Axel Disasi headed home from close range to make it 3-2 in their favor. <br/><br/>However, the goal was disallowed after a lengthy VAR check that saw Pawson consult the pitch-side monitor. <br/><br/>Pawson ruled the goal out after claiming Benoit Badiashile had shoved Diego Carlos in the back in the build-up to the goal. <br/><br/>Madueke was furious with the decision and wanted to make his feelings known after the final whistle at Villa Park. <br/><br/>Madueke stormed straight up to Pawson and began shouting in his face before being restrained by Chelsea coach Jesus Perez. <br/><br/>Madueke and Benoit Badiashile could reportedly be heard saying 'It's wrong, you know it's wrong. You know it.
