Description: UIC physics professor Richard Cavanaugh is an atom-smasher. In fact, he was a member of the team that discovered the Higgs Boson — the ‘god particle'. When he's not in Geneva working with the Large Hadron Collider, he's teaching undergraduate physics students to appreciate the wonder of the universe.
