The artist I chose to try and imitate the style of was Otto Mesmer. I watched many of his shorts to try and get an idea of how his character Felix the cat moved. The shorts I watched included Felix the Cat in Feline Follies, Futuritzy, Japanicky, Eskimotive, Felix the Cat gets Revenge and Switches Witches.
